TREATMENT
Deep tissue massage is primarily used to treat chronic pain and soft tissue injuries.
Expect palm, finger, elbow, fist and forearm work with a gradual increase in pressure.
It’s not uncommon to feel slightly sore after a deep tissue treatment, but this should ease off over the course of 72 hours. Hot or cold treatment and drinking plenty of water will aid recovery.
During your treatment
I will start by checking where your problem areas are to get a feel for how I can help. A Deep tissue Massage can be full body or just a specific area depending on your needs. I will also chat through your medical history and any current or past injuries.
I’ll start with fairly light motions, gradually building up pressure throughout the treatment to allow your body to adjust. I may use my elbows, fists, thumbs and knuckles for deeper pressure.

HOME VISITS
If you are not in the Dartmouth Area and will find it difficult to attend, I am able to talk to you about a home visit. I can talk to you individually about this to check that it is right for both client and therapist. A charge for mileage will be added to the treatment cost for home visits. This will be discussed during our initial conversations.
